Terms of Service for Slope Bot

Welcome to Slope Bot ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Slope Bot Discord application, its features, commands, website (slopebot.com), and any associated services (collectively, the "Service").

Slope Bot is developed and operated by @brainstormity. By adding Slope Bot to a Discord server (guild) you represent that you are an authorized administrator, and by interacting with the bot as a user, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Age Restriction

  • To use Slope Bot, you must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country of residence, whichever is older). If you are under this age, you are strictly prohibited from using Slope Bot.
  • If you are under 18 years old, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Description of Service & Virtual Economy

Slope Bot is a feature-rich Discord bot providing server management, engagement tools, and virtual gamification mechanics.

A. Virtual Points & Currency (No Real-World Value)

  • Slope Bot enables servers to run virtual economies where users earn virtual currency (e.g. points, coins, custom server tokens) by sending chat messages, adding reactions, completing quests, or participating in Twitter Raids.
  • NO REAL-WORLD VALUE: All virtual points, currency, badges, shop items, tickets, and raffle rewards are strictly virtual entertainment items. They have no real-world financial or monetary value, cannot be exchanged for fiat currency or real-world assets, and do not represent any property rights.
  • Prohibition on External Trading: You are strictly prohibited from buying, selling, trading, or transferring virtual points or bot items for real money, cryptocurrency, or goods outside the explicit, built-in features of Slope Bot.
  • Forfeiture: We reserve the right to reset, modify, or delete a server's or user's virtual balance at any time (e.g., if a database reset occurs, if a server deletes the bot, or if users are found exploiting glitches).

B. Server Shop & Raffles

  • Server administrators can set up a virtual Shop (ShopModel) and Raffles (RafflesModel) using virtual currency.
  • The purchase of virtual items, timed roles, and raffle tickets is final and non-refundable.
  • We do not guarantee that virtual items or raffle draws will function uninterruptedly. Drawings are handled automatically and randomly by the bot's system.

C. Quests System

  • Administrators can set up server Quests. Users may submit text or answers (UserQuestsModel).
  • You agree not to submit offensive, illegal, defamatory, or graphic content in your quest answers. Server staff have sole discretion over whether to approve, reject, or penalize quest submissions.

D. Support Tickets

Slope Bot provides a ticket system allowing users to open support channels. Ticket channels must not be used to spam, harass, or submit malicious links.

4. Twitter (X) Engagement & Raids

Slope Bot offers "Twitter Raids" where users can register their Twitter/X username via /set-twitter and receive virtual points for engaging (liking, retweeting, commenting, bookmarking) with a designated tweet.

  • Compliance: You must comply with Twitter/X's Terms of Service and API policies.
  • Cheating and Manipulation: Using automated botnets, multiple fake Twitter accounts, or farming systems to claim rewards from Twitter Raids is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to ban users or entire servers from the Twitter Raid system if manipulation is detected.
  • API Limits: Twitter API availability is subject to Twitter/X's terms and developer access tier. We are not responsible if the Twitter API fails to return engagement data or if verification is delayed.

5. Stripe Payments, Premium Upgrades & Refund Policy

Slope Bot offers paid premium subscription plans to unlock extended features, such as unlimited Twitter Raids, for a Discord guild.

  • Billing: Payments are handled securely via Stripe. By upgrading, you agree to authorize Stripe to charge your designated payment method.
  • Cancellations: You can cancel your premium subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your premium benefits will remain active until the end of your prepaid billing period.
  • Refund Policy: All premium purchases and subscription payments are non-refundable. If you experience billing issues or believe there has been a transaction error, please open a support ticket immediately on our Discord server.

6. Prohibited Conduct & Fair Play

You agree not to:

  1. Exploit, duplicate, farm, or reverse-engineer the bot's database, source code, or commands.
  2. Use bugs, glitches, or exploits to generate virtual currency, duplicate shop items, or bypass cooldown periods.
  3. Use the bot to transmit spam, malware, phishing links, or self-bot commands.
  4. Harass, abuse, or threaten Slope Bot developers, support staff, or other users.
  5. Evade bot-level bans or server-level moderation controls.

7. Service Availability & Disclaimers

  • "AS IS" BASIS: SLOPE BOT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO TITLE, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
  • We do not warrant that Slope Bot will operate uninterrupted, error-free, bug-free, or securely. Database corruption, server host outages, API changes (by Discord or Twitter/X), and network failures may cause data loss, downtime, or performance degradation.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue the bot or any of its features at any time, without prior notice or liability.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SLOPE BOT, ITS DEVELOPERS (@BRAINSTORMITY), OR ITS AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, DATA, DISRUPTIONS, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES arising from:

  1. Your use or inability to use the bot.
  2. Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data or database records.
  3. Any actions, messages, or conduct of any third party using the bot.
  4. Downtime or termination of third-party platforms (Discord, Twitter/X, Stripe).

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Slope Bot and its developers from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the bot, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights (such as copyright, trademark, or privacy rights).

10. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at any time. When we make updates, we will change the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of Slope Bot after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of those updates.

11. Termination of Access

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, to terminate or suspend your access to Slope Bot (including resetting your virtual balances or blocking your Discord account/guild) for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • A breach of these Terms of Service.
  • A violation of Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
  • Bot abuse, exploiting, or harmful behavior.
