Privacy Policy for Slope Bot

Last Updated: May 28, 2026

Welcome to Slope Bot ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you add Slope Bot to a Discord server (guild) or interact with the bot's features, commands, or services.

Slope Bot is developed and operated by @brainstormity. If you have any questions, you can contact us via our official Discord Support Server at discord.gg/yNAPweq2YW or on X (formerly Twitter) at @brainstormity.

1. Information We Collect

To provide Slope Bot's features, we collect and process certain data. We only collect the minimum amount of data necessary to operate the bot.

A. Data Collected Automatically via the Discord API

When Slope Bot is added to a server or when you interact with it, we process:

  • Discord User ID & Username: Unique identifiers for Discord users, used to track individual virtual currency balances, message counts, reaction counts, invite history, raffle ticket purchases, quest participations, and support ticket ownership.
  • Guild (Server) ID & Server Name: Unique identifiers for the Discord servers where Slope Bot is active. This is used to maintain server-specific configurations (such as shop items, ticket settings, logs, and custom virtual currency names).
  • Role IDs & Channel IDs: Discord server role and channel identifiers used to manage self-assignable roles, support ticket categories, logging channels, and specific role restrictions (e.g., checking if a user has a required role to purchase a shop item or claim a reward).
  • Message & Reaction Metadata: When configured by server administrators, Slope Bot tracks message and reaction events to award virtual server points. We do not log or store the contents of your general chat messages; we only increment a count or verify that the message met the server's minimal character length requirement.

B. Data Provided Directly by Users (User Input)

  • Twitter (X) Username: If you choose to link your Twitter/X account via the /set-twitter command, we store your Twitter username and the timestamp of creation. This is used exclusively to verify engagements (likes, retweets, comments, bookmarks) during server Twitter Raids.
  • Quest Submissions: Any text or answers you explicitly submit when attempting a quest configured in a guild (stored under UserQuestsModel). This content is visible to the server administrators/reviewers for quest verification.
  • Support Ticket Details: If a server uses Slope Bot's Ticket system, private channels are created to discuss support issues. If the server logs these tickets, the text transcripts may be stored or sent to the server’s configured log channel.

C. Payment Information (via Stripe)

If you purchase a paid/premium tier for a Discord server:

  • We use Stripe to process credit/debit card payments, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and other payment options.
  • We do not collect or store credit card numbers, CVVs, or billing addresses on our servers. All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe.
  • We store only the Stripe Checkout Session ID, the Discord User ID of the purchaser, the associated Guild ID, the subscription length (number of months), and whether the payment has been verified.

2. How We Use the Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  1. To Provide Bot Services: To keep track of virtual shop items, process raffle draws, update user balances, distribute paycheck rewards, and manage ticket systems.
  2. To Verify Engagement: To connect to the Twitter/X API (via our backend) to verify that your linked Twitter username has interacted with a specified tweet, allowing you to claim virtual currency rewards.
  3. To Manage Premium Features: To associate Stripe payments with your Discord guild, enabling premium limits.
  4. To Maintain Logs: To send updates (e.g., sales logs, quest reviews, ticket actions, invites, economy logs) to the server's designated administrator log channels.
  5. To Maintain Security: To log bot interactions and debug errors via developer webhooks to ensure the stability and safety of the bot.

3. How We Share the Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties for marketing or any other commercial purposes.

We share data only with the following essential third-party service providers to perform necessary operations:

  • Stripe, Inc.: For processing payments. Stripe's use of your personal information is governed by their own Privacy Policy.
  • Twitter (X) API Services: We transmit your Twitter username and target tweet IDs to verify interactions. No other personal data is shared.
  • Database & Cloud Infrastructure: Our database is stored securely using third-party cloud database and hosting infrastructure providers to keep bot configurations and player profiles safe.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required to do so by law, court order, or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect the safety and rights of users.

4. Data Retention

  • Server Configurations & Active User Data: We retain your server configurations and user profiles for as long as the bot remains installed in your Discord server.
  • Twitter Raid & Claims History: Expired Twitter raid data and user action logs are kept for record-keeping and billing verification purposes.
  • Stripe Payment Logs: We retain session and payment verification data as long as required by financial regulations and for account active-status tracking.
  • Account Deletion / Bot Removal: If Slope Bot is kicked or removed from a server, server-specific configuration settings and database records are kept in a deactivated state. If you wish to have all data completely and permanently removed, you may submit a manual deletion request (see Section 6).

5. Security of Your Data

We prioritize the security of your data and implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards:

  • All communications between the Discord API, Twitter API, Stripe API, and our database are encrypted using SSL/TLS (HTTPS).
  • Database credentials and API keys are stored securely in environment variables and are never hardcoded or exposed publicly.
  • Access to the database is restricted strictly to authorized development and administrative personnel.

6. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have control over your data. Under applicable privacy regulations, you have the following rights:

  • Access and Portability: You can request a summary of the data we hold about your Discord account or server.
  • Rectification: You can update your linked Twitter username at any time using the /set-twitter command.
  • Data Erasure (The Right to be Forgotten): You may request that we permanently delete all database records related to your Discord User ID, Twitter username, or your Discord Server.

To request permanent data deletion, please join our official Discord Support Server (discord.gg/yNAPweq2YW) and open a support ticket, or contact the developer directly on X at @brainstormity. Requests are processed within 30 days of verification.

7. Children's Privacy

Slope Bot is not designed for, nor does it target, children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children under 13, in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Discord's Terms of Service. If you are under 13, please do not use Slope Bot or provide any personal information.

If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will immediately delete that information from our database. If you believe we might have any data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately on our support server.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page or announced on our official Support Server. Your continued use of Slope Bot after the publication of an updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
